North Myrtle Beach With 3rd Alarm Fire

In a PRESS RELEASE made today, North Myrtle Beach Fire Department announced the following:

Shortly after 12pm today B-Battalion crews were dispatched for a reported structure fire off of 1st Ave South. The assignment was upgraded to a 2nd Alarm while units were still enroute due to reports of persons trapped and amount of smoke visible from Main Street. A 3rd Alarm was requested to bring fresh firefighters to the scene to swap out crews.

Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control and began the extensive overhaul process.

Great work by all units on scene as there were no reported injuries on scene.

1st Alarm:
Engine 711, Ladder 734, Engine 721, Engine 741, Battalion 71, Training 71, Chief 70, HCFR Medic 32
B-Squad PSO’s

2nd Alarm:
Engine 751, Training 72, FM 73, HCFR Engine 2, HCFR Tower 7, HCFR Medic 2

3rd Alarm:
Calabash Fire Engine 1260, Myrtle Beach Engine 651, HCFR Battalion 1

Special Call:
Ocean Isle Beach Mobile Air Supply Unit

HCFR Engine 43 provided coverage at our Station 1.
