(Beaufort County) The holidays are fast approaching and Santa doesn’t want the boys and girls of The Lowcountry to think he has forgotten them. Starting today, fire stations all over Beaufort County will be accepting Letters to Santa from all the boys and girls. Each station will have its own decorated “Santa Mailbox” out front of it, and children of all ages are encouraged to write Santa a letter. Firefighters even have it on good report that the jolly old elf will reply to every letter that is placed in those mailboxes before December 16th at 12 noon.

“Beaufort County firefighters are just so lucky that Santa trusts us to help him with this project!” stated Deputy Chief Dale Glass of the Sheldon Fire District. From Monday November 14, 2016 through December 16, 2016, children are encouraged to write their letters and mail them. Please be sure that each letter is in an envelope with a return address so that Santa and his elves know who it came from and where to send their return post.

Additionally, everyone can look for Santa and their local firefighters spending time in their respective communities throughout the holiday season in parades, neighborhood visits, and special events. For more information on all that is happening this holiday season with your local fire department, residents are encouraged to contact us or visit our respective websites.
