Citing “Mixed Feelings” Charleston Fire Department Chief Brack Resigns


Charleston Fire Chief Karen Brack has announced her resignation from the position.

The chief’s final day, according to a copy of a letter sent to ABC News 4, will be April 7, 2017.

In the letter sent to employees of the Charleston Fire Department at around 8 a.m., Brack said, “It has been a great honor to serve this department and community.”

The fire chief said she has “mixed feelings” about her position and made the “personal decision” to resign.
