Town of Moncks Corner wants its own emergency medical services trucks.
After going into executive session at the Feb. 20 council meeting, council unanimously approved a motion to receive public input on purchasing ambulance buses for the town.
Council member Tonia Aiken Taylor was absent from the meeting.
“We’re going to look at having a public hearing and getting the EMS services ourselves,” Moncks Corner Mayor Michael Lockliear said, adding “since [Berkeley County] won’t do it for us.”
